Our Story

Founded in 2024 by Paul Camarata, 12-time Emmy winner, showrunner of NFL’s Hard Knocks and Netflix’s Quarterback, and Brian Pawloski, longtime educational leader and start-up founder, PanCam Pictures develops and produces premium documentary storytelling.

Brian Pawloski

Brian has spent 20+ years as an urban educator and organizational innovator. Brian began in Catholic schools in Mobile and Phoenix and went on to lead Teach for America in Baltimore. As Fellow at Building Excellent Schools and as Founder of Buffalo Collegiate Charter School, he championed start-up growth, sustainable leadership, and cultural excellence—all foundational elements he now brings to PanCam Pictures, creating a documentary film company rooted in purpose and creative vision.

Paul Camarata is a 12-time Emmy Award winning producer, writer and director of dynamic, storytelling content. Paul’s 25-year filmmaking career includes both creative and leadership positions at NFL Films, leading acclaimed programming such as all three of HBO’s iterations of HARD KNOCKS, the Netflix doc series’ QUARTERBACK and RECEIVER, and the 4D film at the NFL Experience Times Square. From historical documentaries, to topical “follow-docs”, animation, blogs, social media, 4D film presentations and more, he has created for clients including HBO, Showtime, Netflix, MGM+, ESPN, and Cirque du Soleil. A creator both professionally and for recreation, he has produced films, poetry, blogs, photography, essays, graphic design and social media. He is a native of Albany, NY, and University of Notre Dame ‘02.
